An avid fan of spoken word and music, Tanya has performed in Times Square, on Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, and Hollywood's Walk of Fame. She has graced the stage at Nuyorican Poet's Café, Da Poetry Lounge, SWAAM, The Laugh Factory, Spoken Funk, The Comedy Union, and countless other clubs and poetry forums. She has released two spoken word albums: INSIDE and Pieces of Tanya...A Spoken Word Project. She is also a Hollywood Black Film Festival award winner for Best Music Video for her spoken-word piece '1 Out of 10' (watch below).
